With twenty years of experience in both the Tourism and Gastronomy industries, Hugo has developed a great eye for business, a nose for talent and a taste for exquisite food. He studied Tourism at ESADE and his last business venture was at ByHours.com. Sharing superior quality gastronomic experiences is his passion. He founded Foodie&Tours as a way to help traveling food lovers find authentic, one-of-a-kind culinary experiences. As CEO and Founder, he brought us all together for this project. In his free time Hugo indulges in his love of watersports, including stand up paddle and sailing in the Mediterranean Sea.

Enric Elvira Riera - Coder & Co-founder

Enric is our experienced Co-Founder, Partner and Backend Developer of Foodie&Tours, originally from the cold Pyrenees Mountains. He currently spends his time enjoying all kinds of biltong in Johannesburg, but still missing Catalan fuet sausage. He was part of the Spanish cross-country ski team (yes, it exists!), and these days he challenges himself by running long distance races around South Africa. When he is not coding for our platform, he is eating something delicious while listening to italo disco and synthwave.

Barbecue aficionado and whiskey lover, Juan is our talented CTO and Front-End Developer. His past experiences include Desigual and Doubleyou. He is a Partner and Co-Founder of the Foodie&Tours project, also responsible for overseeing all technical, design and usability aspects of the platform, making IT fit perfectly in each area. Besides being a masterful coder, he's also a triple ironman finisher and a lover of bikes.

After working in world-renowned restaurants elBulli and El Celler de Can Roca, Mireia focused her talents on wine as a Specialist at Vila Viniteca. Mireia is a multi-faceted entrepeneur – gastronomic assessor, food tour guide and private sommelier. A dedicated foodie and Partner at Foodie&Tours, she manages the Barcelona Destination and carries out practical training of new Destination Ambassadors. Born in Girona and living in Barcelona, Mireia has everything it takes to offer gourmet travelers the perfect food experience!

B2B Sales & Communications Manager

Through her experiences working in Publishing Management, Corporate Communication and PR, Naiara brings tremendous managerial expertise to the team. She is the Founder and Director of Eat San Sebastián, a London-based food travel company specialised in culinary tours of San Sebastian. At Foodie&Tours, Naiara leads the San Sebastián destination and manages the company's B2B agreements and communications. Basque native Naiara has a deep respect for San Sebastián cuisine. Learning to prepare chipirones, stuffed baby squid and the crunchy Basque almond pastry panchineta from her mother's recipes is a challenge she happily embraces.

Foodie&Tours's Consultant Wine Guru and Advisor on all things ecotourism, Lucas Payà served for 5 years as Sommelier and Wine Buyer for chef Ferran Adrià's elBulli (named “Best Restaurant in the World” a record 5 times). He also worked as Corporate Wine Director for celebrity chef Jose Andrés's creative team ThinkFoodGroup in Washington, D.C. Lucas is a winner of multiple awards, and a prolific wine writer for an extensive list of respected publications, including The Boston Globe, El Mundo, Verema, LA Times Magazine, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Wine Enthusiast, Food & Wine, Wine Spectator, Gourmet… the list goes on.

Web Content Creator & Marketing Assistant

It was her passion for food and wine that led Lili to her role as Social Media Coordinator for a wine company in Argentina and Hong Kong, Manager of gourmet market Dean & DeLuca in Washington D.C., and resident journalist of a wine club in Spain's DOQ Priorat. Lili has also contributed a chapter on Hungarian American cooking to Ethnic American Food Today: A Cultural Encyclopedia, published in 2015. She joined the Foodie&Tours team to produce content for the company's webpage and social media platforms. In her spare time Lili runs her own website (ThatBestBite.com), in which she chronicles the delicious dishes she has tasted around the world: from the beef goulash of her Hungarian homeland to her favorite lahmacun in Instanbul.

Adriana Gonzalez

Sales Manager

Born in Mexico, Adriana grew up in Colombia, where she lived for 21 years and studied hotel and tourism management. She has worked in events and reception at two hotels of the Hilton chain in Colombia and Mexico. She also organized caterings and events for companies, including Salvatore Feragamo and Porsche. She also worked at the Hard Rock Hotel of the Riviera Maya in PR, and as a sales assistant at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya. Adriana is currently doing a Master's degree in digital tourism marketing at CETT, Barcelona and started working in customer service and as a Marketing Assistant at Foodie&Tours, eventually becoming the company's Sales Manager. Adriana is passionate about traveling and learning about different cultures.
